    NOVA Independent Study at Novato Unified allows for remote instruction from home or any other location with internet access.  Elementary, middle, and high school students have this as an enrollment option for a complete online instruction experience.  High school students also have the opportunity to dual enroll in their school of residence and NOVA Independent Study enabling them to participate in campus activities as well.

    The dual immersion program at Lynwood Elementary School and San Jose Middle School is designed to nurture foundational skills for bilingualism and biliteracy in Spanish and English as well as promote a love of multiculturalism for students as they learn grade-level content.

    Medical Career Pathways is a specialty program at Novato High that introduces students to a variety of healthcare careers and topics. It offers a rigorous and articulated college curriculum to prepare students for the skills needed to be college and career-ready in a variety of medical fields.
