Expanded Learning Opportunities Program

NUSD offers an Expanded Learning Opportunities Program designed to serve eligible students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 6.  The District partners with a number of community organizations and NUSD staff members to provide students with additional after school, intersession, and summer programming that focused upon enrichment activities and academic support.

Students engaged in programs organized by NUSD staff, the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma and Marin, North Marin Community Services, and RISE Scholars to extend their learning beyond the classroom while participating in interesting and fun activities.

The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program extends the school day to a nine-hour day to ensure qualifying students are provided with additional services that focus on developing the academic, social-emotional services, and physical fitness needs of the students in order to prepare them for success in school and in the future.
