Dear NUSD Community,
Heading into my second year as Superintendent of the Novato Unified School District, the feeling of excitement is in the air. The dedication, commitment and care that Novato carries for its students, their education and their development is phenomenally strong. This year, as we embark on the first year of our new three year Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), we have newly established goals and action plans to carry out our district mission. The three main areas of focus are:
In addition and in response to current student needs, we will be focusing on enhancing school safety and climate, mental health services, fostering relationships with our students and educational equity. NUSD is excited to continue to take full advantage of the additional programming offered by the state to provide services and programs to our students:
